Eucalyptus tree
Eucalyptus - an evergreen tree of the myrtle family. Basically it grows in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, New Guinea and Tasmania. There are more than 700 species of eucalyptus, of which over 95 percent come from the Australian continent.
Across the rest of the world eucalyptus began its march to the 19th century, with the arrival of settlers to Australia from Europe. Today the eucalyptus tree is cultivated in almost all the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus, in the south of Ukraine (including the Crimean peninsula) and in Moldavia.
Eucalyptus tree is large, some of its varieties reach a height of 90 meters (some sources - more than a hundred), the length of the circumference of the barrel - 10 meters or more. Leaves and branches are thin and flexible, making it difficult to use brooms of eucalyptus in the sweating room (eucalyptus brooms are used mainly in the Caucasus), although the leaves contain from 0.5 to 4 percent eucalyptus oil.
The very rapid eucalyptus tree’s growth allows without prejudice to the tree every year to cut off part of the young shoots, and use them for different purposes. Stem eucalyptus wood is used for interior decoration of houses, manufacture of flooring and furniture, as well as some details of ships, railroad ties and poles.
Another sought-after quality of eucalyptus wood is its ability to rapidly drying with marshland.
Eucalyptus oil has powerful antiseptic and therefore is widely used to prevent and treat malaria infections, colds respiratory diseases, asthma, festering wound and burn healing. The leaves and bark of eucalyptus are used in the manufacture of drugs for routine and intermittent fever.
In the modern medical industry eucalyptus oil is set based therapeutic drugs, such as "Pektusin", "Otrivin", "Evkatol", "Chlorophillipt", "Eucalyptus M" and others. Rubbing oil is used as a painkiller for radiculitis and sciatica. It is also widely used in the form of inhalation, with aromatherapy baths and while taking bath procedures.
Eucalyptus oil can be combined with cedar, peppermint, tea tree and juniper. Once you have tried scent of eucalyptus in the sweating room, you become its fan for many years.
